About Us - Our Story – One Day at a Time

Brewtique Beans began with two mugs, a kitchen table, and a bond that could never be broken.
I’m Shawna Bilak, and this brand was created in memory of my aunt and best friend, Kathleen “Kakky” Tirado, who went home to Heaven on May 24, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

For years, our mornings began with coffee — sometimes brewed at home, sometimes found in a cozy café. That daily ritual became our shared love language. When Kathy became ill and I took on the honor of caring for her at home, our coffee moments became sacred. They were small pauses in the midst of caregiving — moments to breathe, talk, laugh, and hold hope.

After Kathy’s passing, I wanted to carry her warmth forward in a way that could bring comfort to others walking similar paths. Brewtique Beans was born — not just as a remembrance, but as a mission.

This coffee honors:

Each cup reminds us to take life one day at a time — just as Kathy taught. She showed me how to face fear with faith, to love deeply, and to give without expecting anything in return.
